After exhibiting Human in Negative and Nature in Negative in Barcelona, London and Paris, the artist creates a more decorative and therefore, it could be said, a more commercial collection. Flowers in Negative is created at his home in Upper Heyford, Oxford, when Marcos walks along paths where the English gardens inspire him. The cemetery of this English location inspires this series of flower photographs which Marcos displays in negative.

Flowers in Negative catches the eye of the Madrilenian interior designer Silka Barrios who adopted the series for the International Interior Fair held in Madrid in February 2018, where she created carpets for the conference room floors and rosettes for the ceilings. Accompanied also by a Human in Negative displayed on one of the walls. Thus, the designer creates a universe of nature in negative.
